The Alpine Homestay is a simple wooden house located in Jakhhol village, Uttarkashi. The village is known for its natural beauty, traditional wooden houses made of Cyprus wood, and peaceful surroundings. It has been awarded as the Best Adventure Tourism Village 2024 by the Government of India. Jakhhol is part of the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary. The famous Someshwar Mahadev Temple is also nearby. The homestay is about 66 km from Purola and is surrounded by apple orchards and pine forests, making it a quiet and relaxing place to stay.

The Alpine Homestay has ten rooms, six on the first floor and four on the second floor, each room suitable for three to four people. There are two washrooms on each floor, one Western and one Indian. The wooden rooms are simple and offer a nice mountain view. The homestay is located about 750 meters from Someshwar Temple and can accommodate up to 35 guests. It is an ideal place for trekkers, backpackers, and small groups looking for a comfortable and budget stay in nature.

How To Reach: To reach Jakhhol, the nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport (223 km), and the nearest railway stations are Dehradun (199 km) and Haridwar (249 km). From Dehradun, you can take a bus to Purola and then hire a cab or shared jeep to reach the village. The route passes through green pine forests and along the Tons River, making it a scenic and memorable journey. The homestay is around 230 metres from the main road.
